Nurturing Tiny Paws into Perfect Pets

Breeding dogs is something I had wanted to do for many years and without the support of my Husband I would not be able to fulfil this dream.

We started our breeding journey in 2020 with our 1st litter being born 3 days before the UK went into full lockdown. This meant we were not able to meet our puppies potential families in person and had to quickly adapt. For someone who is at an age where social media and using the internet does not come easily, this was a learning curve. Our concept is to nurture our puppies to develop into resilient dogs and do the things we would like from a breeder.

After our 1st litter, I was determined that I would find courses and qualifications to enable me to be the best breeder I could be. I have completed many training courses and now have qualifications in;

  • canine breeding, welfare and puppy socialisation

  • canine body language and communication

  • canine first aid

  • microchipping implantation.

I attend as many personal development courses I can find.

Our dogs are first and foremost our pets and live with us in our home. We have recently moved to a more suitable house and garden for our dogs. We prioritise our dogs and ensure they have everything they need. Until now, we have only had one litter a year. As we now have more females we are planning to increase this. Each female will only have a maximum of four litters in their lifetime and in retirement will continue to thrive as a happy dog within our loving home.

Our Enrichment Programme

Nurturing Tiny Paws into Perfect Pets

We believe early socialisation is crucial to the development of your puppies. Our puppy socialisation protocols include ENS (Early Neurological stimulation) and ESI (Early scent Introduction), sound, sight stimulation and Positive Handling we perform these exercises once a day from 3 days old

With our Enrichment Programme

ENS

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) is a process we do that introduces mild stimulations to very young puppies in a controlled way. These simulations help encourage the nervous and neurological system which improves the growth and development of the pup’s immune system, cardiovascular system, and stress tolerance. ENS is started on day 3 since that is when rapid neurological growth and development occur

ESI

Early Scent Introduction (ESI) is a procedure we do that helps puppies with their nose awareness and confidence. It enhances their ability to identify and react to scents. ESI is introduced on day 3 of a puppies life and is very beneficial for their development. Scent is the way puppies experience the world until their eyes and ears open. Introducing natural scents to puppies in a controlled way can- Improve scenting ability in later life, enhances confidence and stability as adults and reduce behavioural issues in the long term

Sound, Sight Stimulation and positive handling

Once the puppies eyes and ears begin to open we slowly introduce sights and sound at the puppies pace adding to their experiences until they are able to experience the sights and sounds in person
Positive handling is gently handling each puppy getting them used to different types of handling over different body parts with different pressure. This helps the puppy to grow up being comfortable and relaxed being handled. This is essential for puppies going to live in families with children as well as lowering stress in situations such as vets

Our puppies are brought up as part of our family including introductions to our cats.
